HorseTenders LLC December 2015 News Letter

HorseTenders LLC started 2015 off with travels to Europe and to work with Lipizzaner horses in Slovenia. After that, there were several great private and public clinics. The private clinics were held in April, May and June to get groups of friends and families off to a great riding season. July and August were full of travels to work at private clinics all over the USA. The 5 Day Horsemanship Camps filled up early! Those are always full of anticipation and learning.

Once again, Kris Kokal was enormously busy with his “on farm” training and “off farm” training throughout the year. Kris rarely takes a day off in his busy season, which seems to last twelve months. He wants to help every horse and owner that asks for help. He also accepted many new trim and dental clients.

People that have come to the farm and met the Kokal Family know how much we value education. Not only for the clients and their horses, but for ourselves. Nikolas Kokal will graduate from the prestigious Glasgow University 5 year Doctor of Veterinary Medicine Graduate program in June 2016. Erik Kokal not only became a father in 2015, but completed his Maters of Education Degree. Kayla Kokal, married to Erik, became a mother and is in the middle of completing her Nurse Practitioner Certification. Not to be out done, Kris Kokal is diligently working on completing his Penn Foster Vet Tech program and has also been accepted into the Cornell Advanced Farrier /Therapeutic Shoeing 16 week program starting in 2016.

All of this continuing education is done to provide the widest range of top quality Horsemanship, Trimming, Training and learning experiences from HorseTenders LLC. It has been 15 years since Kris and Nik Kokal started their HorseTenders LLC horse business, they have advanced way beyond their boyhood dreams of helping horses. They are now trusted professional Horseman providing top quality horse experiences for their clients.

HorseTenders LLC plans to stay in New England and continue to provide essential educational programs for horse owners and their horses. In 2016, there are three 5 Day Horsemanship Camps in 2016 as well as three new 3 Day Horsemanship Camps. Check out the calendar and book your camp soon!

Kris will also be offering several day long “trim clinics” to help owners demystify the barefoot trim. Kris will help owners understand what the trim is, how it works, why it is important to know what a proper barefoot trim looks like so that your horse can enjoy being barefoot. He will also be giving tips on maintaining a proper barefoot trim. Take a few tips from an experienced and highly qualified barefoot trimmer and a recent Cornell Farrier Program graduate! Look on the 2016 calendar for dates and details.

The signature “HorseTenders LLC Round Pen Clinic ” clinics will be held two times in 2016. Every participant will have their own round pen and be able to round pen several other horses as well. Learn the humane way to round pen for the ultimate success. Look on the 2016 calendar for dates and details.

HorseTenders LLC will be booking Spring Dental Float appointments starting in January. These are proper floats done with a full speculum and no sedation.

Considering “on farm” training for your horse, please be advised May and June 2016 are already booked. Perhaps consider attending the 5 Day Horsemanship Camp with your horse or book soon for July.
